Reynolds YMCA Closes Warren Pool Indefinitely After ADH Inspection

The Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County announced an indefinite closure of its pool after an Arkansas Department of Health annual inspection identified major repair needs.

Required work includes new plaster, waterline/skimmer/racing-lane tile replacement, and new skimmer grating. A written estimate put minimum repairs at about $145,000, with possible higher costs because the pool sits in a flood zone. YMCA leaders said the scope would not finish before the upcoming summer season.

Staff and board members are working with the City of Warren so swim lessons, water aerobics and other aquatic programs can continue at the city pool while the organization weighs long-term capital decisions.
