The Warren cattle sale barn formerly known as Bradley County Livestock Barn is moving forward under the name Mid South Livestock-Warren, with Josh and Abby Branscome introduced as the new managers.
The change follows an early-September announcement that Bradley County Livestock Barn was closing after eight years of first- and third-Saturday sales, citing shifting economics and personal circumstances. Organizers said then that directors were working to keep a local sale barn available for producers.
Mid South Livestock thanked Kay Casey for years of running the sale and said Josh, whose family operates a cow-calf and stocker business in Grenada, Mississippi, and Abby, daughter of Charlie and Leslie Searcy of Monticello, will take the helm. A next sale date remains pending licensing paperwork; Josh listed 662-417-5229 for producer visits in the meantime.
