Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge has published 2026–27 hunting season information with several rule changes for deer hunters near Crossett.
Per the refuge public-use brochure: archery/crossbow runs Sept. 26–Jan. 31; alternative firearm quota deer Oct. 17–21; modern gun quota deer Nov. 14–17. Refuge-wide harvest is limited to two deer. NEW: a doe is no longer required before harvesting a buck, and harvested deer are checked under state rules (hunters are still encouraged to CWD-test early in the modern-gun hunt). Felsenthal sits in AGFC’s Tier 2 CWD zone.
