Before heading afield for dove, early Canada goose or teal, Arkansas hunters need a current license and free Harvest Information Program (HIP) registration, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission reminds.
HIP is available at AGFC regional offices, nature centers and through agfc.com — not at every license retailer. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service uses the registration questions and follow-up diaries to estimate migratory bird harvest nationwide. Arkansas’s first dove segment runs Sept. 5–Oct. 25 with a daily bag of 15 mourning and white-winged doves combined.
