What is on the program
The program traces singing through history. According to the university, the music reaches from the earliest vocal traditions to modern chamber works for choir.
Colt Lien directs choral activities and teaches music at UAM. He said the concert gives students a chance “to share the fruits of their hard work with the campus and the wider community.”
“We hope to share the impact of those ancient sounds, allowing listeners to engage directly with the very vibrations that our ancestors felt thousands of years ago,” Lien said.

The choir concert comes one week after the Division of Music’s Fall Faculty Showcase, set for Monday, Oct. 26, in the same hall. Read about the faculty showcase here.
