The University of Arkansas at Monticello has opened Weezy’s, a sports-bar-style student lounge in the John F. Gibson University Center, in the space formerly known as the Patio Café.
The lounge features UAM Athletics and Intramurals memorabilia, three 4K televisions plus a 100-inch 4K screen that can show up to four games at once, and sports-streaming access including YouTube and ESPN when UAM competitions are available. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; faculty and staff are welcome. Food can be ordered through Grubhub. The project used Centennial Grant funds for shades, followed by 2025–26 repairs and renovation. Grand opening coincided with a Patrick Averill campus concert on Aug. 18.
