Rison Unveils M60 Tank Display at Veterans Park After Hamburg Move

Rison welcomed an M60 Army tank to Veterans Park after the historic vehicle spent 22 years at the Preston Malloy VFW Post 9360 in Hamburg.

Residents and visitors gathered Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, for the display. The tank was transported Friday morning from Warren along Highway 63 and Highway 35 north into Rison. Assisting crews included Foster Heavy Duty Towing, Grace Railroad Contractors, Arkansas Highway Police and the Rison Fire Department.

The M60 series was produced from 1960 until 1987. Local organizers said the park display gives Cleveland County a permanent veterans landmark.
