Personnel from the Little Rock Air Force Base Explosive Ordnance Detachment destroyed obsolete production items at the Pine Bluff Arsenal on Sept. 9–10.
A news release carried in Community Briefs advised residents living close to the Arsenal not to be alarmed if they heard loud noises or saw smoke coming from the installation on those days — routine controlled destruction of obsolete stock.
The notice lands alongside continued Arsenal-area economic development coverage for Jefferson County readers.
