Bring a flashlight and some patience: Cane Creek State Park near Star City hosts a free Frogs of Cane Creek night walk from 8–9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.
Park interpreters meet visitors at the campground bathhouse, 50 State Park Road, to listen for and identify local frog species along the 1,675-acre timbered Delta lake. The outing is free; staff recommend insect repellent and good walking shoes.
Questions: 870-628-4714 or [email protected]. The program sits alongside other October interpreter offerings at the Lincoln County park, including earlier Owl Prowl and kayak tour dates already on the SEARK desk calendar.
