Warren Sale Barn Gets New Name, New Managers as Mid South Livestock

The Warren sale barn once known as Bradley County Livestock Barn has a new name and new managers. Its Facebook page now reads Mid South Livestock-Warren, AR.

Earlier in September the barn announced it was closing, citing changing economic conditions and personal circumstances. At the time it said its board was working to make sure the community would have a local sale barn again.

The new announcement names Josh and Abby Branscome as managers. Josh Branscome is from Grenada, Mississippi, where his family runs a cow-calf and stocker cattle operation. Abby Branscome is the daughter of Charlie and Leslie Searcy of Monticello. The post also thanked Kay Casey for her years running the sale.

No date has been set for the next cattle sale. The barn said it will announce one once its licensing paperwork is done. Until then, Josh Branscome plans to be in the area weekly to visit producers and look at cattle. The announcement did not give details on the new operation’s ownership.
