Bradley Quorum Court Hears $250,000 BCMC Telemedicine Award, Higher 2027 Insurance Costs

The Bradley County Quorum Court met Monday, Sept. 21, and heard that Bradley County Medical Center will receive approximately $250,000 through the Rural Health Transformation program via its partnership with the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership, BCMC COO Leeanna Williams said.

The money will expand telemedicine through Innovator Health technology so specialists can remotely evaluate patients in the emergency department and elsewhere in the hospital, renovate a small building near the ER, and restore an intensive outpatient therapy group program discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic. Williams also noted the hospital’s tailgate with Commercial Bank on Oct. 2 and radiology’s “Pink in the Park” at Warren City Park at 10 a.m. Oct. 3.

County Judge Klay McKinney said health insurance is projected to rise about $71,000 next year and workers’ compensation from about $26,596 to $38,800 — roughly $84,000 more combined. Officials said about $110,000 in expected 2025 revenue remained uncollected and noted county employees have gone about four years without a raise. The court also approved Emergency Ordinance No. 2026-5 creating a separate 287(g) ICE Program Fund.
