Astronomical fall arrived at 7:05 p.m. CDT Tuesday, Sept. 22, and National Weather Service guidance for Warren pointed to a break from late-summer heat — highs near 89 Wednesday, 87 Thursday and about 89 Friday, with overnight lows dropping into the low 60s.
A cold front was expected to keep air closer to normal through much of the week, though South Arkansas still needed meaningful rain. Forecasters noted only light precipitation chances with the front, while elevated wildfire danger and county burn bans continued across parts of the state.
