The Small Farm Program at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will provide farm financial planning assistance, training and technical support to producers across Arkansas, director Dr. Henry English announced, funded by a Southern Risk Management Center grant.
The work sits inside the Distressed Borrowers Assistance Network (DBAN), which links community organizations and universities to help producers who cannot make scheduled Farm Service Agency loan payments—or who need stronger farm-finance planning even without an FSA loan. Objectives include evaluating current finances, exploring options, improving long-term stability, accessing USDA programs and strengthening record-keeping.
Southeast Arkansas producers can contact the UAPB Small Farm Program at 870-575-7225 or [email protected]. Partner contacts also serve northeast and southwest Arkansas. UAPB is an equal-opportunity 1890 land-grant institution.
