Brittany Leek has returned to the University of Arkansas at Monticello as an animal science instructor after 13 years teaching agriculture at Drew Central High School.
Leek will also serve as assistant manager of the UAM Farm, where she will oversee the university’s sheep herd and help students gain hands-on experience. She earned her UAM degree in animal science before completing a master’s degree in agricultural education.
Her first campus initiative is a Collegiate FFA chapter, approved this fall after she applied during the summer. UAM says the chapter can connect college students with high-school agriculture programs and build leadership and industry opportunities.
