The University of Arkansas received a $777,351 Rural Health Transformation Program grant to expand the Arkansas Health Survey into THRIVE RADAR, a statewide platform mapping rural health needs, providers and service gaps.
A related $176,847 award to College of Education and Health Professions researchers will measure and improve telehealth access, beginning with a focus on Dallas County and methods that can extend across Arkansas — including other Southeast Arkansas rural counties that face provider shortages and travel barriers.
Researchers said nearly 10,000 adults across all 75 counties informed the first-year survey data already published through AR-COMPASS.
