The Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson County has been awarded a $25,000 Community Grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to strengthen workforce-development programming for local youths.
The award is part of the foundation’s 2026 Community Grants push — a record $32 million investment across 700 youth-serving nonprofits nationwide. Funding supports education, career readiness, mentorship and youth empowerment, fueled in part by customers who Round Up Taco Bell orders.
CEO Tavante Calhoun said the grant helps the Club deliver career exploration, job-readiness training, mentorship and life-skills experiences that prepare members for college, careers and adulthood. Foundation Executive Director Morgan Tabor noted Community Grants stay local through franchisee partnerships with nonprofits already serving their towns.
