Revenue at El Dorado’s Lions Club Municipal Golf Course dipped in August as 100-plus-degree days kept some golfers away, members of the El Dorado Parks and Playgrounds Commission heard Tuesday. Monthly revenue fell from a record $58,888 in August 2025 to $50,499 last month.
Chairman Ken Goudy said September month-to-date revenue had reached $30,741 by late Tuesday morning, on track to pass the $36,708 collected in September 2025. July income totaled $53,285, up $10,913 from July 2025. Commissioners also said they still do not receive a full city financial report for the course, and some plan to attend city Finance Committee meetings on the 2027 budget.
The 33rd annual First Financial Bank/SHARE Foundation Benefit Golf Tournament plays Saturday, Sept. 26, at Mystic Creek Golf Course and Sunday, Sept. 27, at Lions Club, which will be closed to the public Sunday. Goudy said 72 teams signed up for the two-man scramble; proceeds benefit the Father Bob Allen Charitable Clinic.
