Monticello Boys Sweep Class 4A State Tennis Titles

Monticello High School won both Class 4A boys tennis state titles this month, the Monticello School District said. Jacob Romero took the singles crown, and Parker Hill and Pierce Terry won the doubles title.

The Billies won the championship matches Oct. 13 at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, where the Arkansas Activities Association held the 4A tournament. The district said the two titles made the Monticello boys the overall Class 4A state champions. Monticello Live first shared the district’s announcement with Drew County readers.
