UAM-CTC Inducts NTHS Class Including Hermitage and Warren High-School Students

On April 22, the University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology–Crossett hosted an awards ceremony that inducted students into the campus chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.

Invitees complete at least 12 credit hours of technical coursework with a 3.5 GPA or higher and an instructor recommendation. Faculty sponsor Kim Wallis inducted 21 students, including the chapter’s first high-school members: Railey Greenwood (Hermitage), Addison McDougald and Mileigh Tillman (Warren), and Korbin Summerland (Hamburg).

The ceremony also recognized dozens of NCCER construction credentials and 30 National Career Readiness Certificates. Vice Chancellor Dr. Tracy Tucker thanked Southeast Arkansas Community Based Education Center director Devin McDiarmid and Hamburg principal Eddy Tucker for opening dual-credit pathways so students can finish a technical certificate while graduating high school.
