Summit Cares Grants Reach Monticello and Pine Bluff Nonprofits

Three Southeast Arkansas organizations are among 33 nonprofits selected for Summit Utilities’ Summit Cares grants, the company said at its Impact Celebration on Sept. 16, 2026.

Local names on the list: Advantages of Southeast Arkansas in Monticello (services for people with developmental disabilities) and Donna Terrell’s Warrior Lodge in Pine Bluff (lodging and support for cancer patients and families). The Stuttgart Public Library Foundation was also named among the regional recipients.

Summit reported $175,000 awarded across the full 33-organization class (Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas) — up from $75,000 in the 2025 cycle. Individual award amounts were not disclosed in the announcement.
