The Pine Bluff Police Department held a promotions and awards program at noon Friday, Sept. 11, in City Council Chambers at the Detective Kevin Collins Center in the Civic Center.
Police Chief Shawn Davis said the community was welcome to attend. Public Information Specialist John Worthen said the event honors the men and women who serve Pine Bluff and that public presence makes the occasion more meaningful. Officials also livestreamed the ceremony on the department’s Facebook page for those who could not attend in person.
The recognition program adds a mid-September civic note for Jefferson County readers following the department’s ongoing public-safety reporting cycle.
