Pine Bluff Animal Control will host its first annual Paws and Pumpkins event Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Animal Control Center, officials told the city’s Public Safety Committee.
The festival will include $10 microchipping, adoptable dogs and cats, displays of fire and police vehicles, games and food trucks. Organizers say the day is meant to promote adoptions and let residents meet public-safety personnel in a family setting.
The announcement came alongside broader public-safety updates on crime trends, police staffing and fire-department training investments.
