Pine Bluff Commission Considers Board for Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame

The Civic Auditorium Complex Commission is considering a board to oversee the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame inside the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

Convention Center Executive Director Barbara Dunn presented seven potential nominees at the commission’s Sept. 22 meeting: state historian David Ware; former convention-center executive Steve Arrison; retired broadcaster Craig O’Neill; ARTx3 Executive Director Celeste Alexander; SOAR Director and former UAPB basketball player Ernie Murry; broadcaster David Bazzel; and radio personality Roger Scott.

The committee would consider Arkansans for future enshrinement. The first induction class was honored in 1996 and the latest class in 2015. The commission plans to draft bylaws and could vote on nominees as early as its October meeting. The commission also expects to advertise two open CACC positions.
