Organizers of the Hermitage Blessing Box put out a fresh call for pantry and hygiene staples after a community restock left only a thin supply on the shelves.
The box sits beside the Hermitage Library entrance, behind First Financial Bank (1st State Bank), near the former community room. Neighbors are asked to leave non-perishable food, hygiene products and other essentials for students and families who need a discreet hand up.
Local advocate Deanna Smith described shopping for donations after finding the box nearly empty and invited anyone with extras to stop by and contribute.
