The Dumas Library, part of the Southeast Arkansas Regional Library system, received a grant from Clearwater Paper’s Charitable Giving Program to purchase a new Literacy Station for children ages 3–12.
Library staff said the device bundles three programs: an Early Literacy Station for ages 2–8, a Bilingual Spanish Literacy Station for ages 2–8, and an After-School Edge Platinum module for ages 6–12. Officials noted children in the community have missed the prior station and that staff look forward to putting the replacement into daily use.
Clearwater Paper’s local charitable giving committee funded the request. Regional headquarters for SEAR Library remains at 114 W. Jefferson Ave. in Monticello.
