The 12th annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run in memory of Billie Jean “BJ” Jackson is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Lake Saracen Pavilion, 200 Lake Saracen Drive.
Organizers plan free health screenings, live entertainment, vendors, a Kids Zone and fellowship. Registration is $40 for ages 12 and up and includes a commemorative T-shirt; the deadline to receive a shirt is Oct. 10. Details: bjlegacy.org.
