SE ARKANSAS — ARDOT’s State Fiscal Year 2026 fourth-quarter report to the Highway Commission Review and Advisory Subcommittee pushed multiple Southeast Arkansas projects into 2030–2031, including a string of Highway 82 widenings from Hamburg toward Lake Village (Ashley/Chicot) totaling roughly $170–$220 million in planning ranges, according to analysis of the quarterly schedule.
The next future I-69 section between Highway 293 and Highway 65 in Drew and Desha counties moved from a prior 2028 listing to 2030 ($50–$75 million planning range). Other slips include Highway 79 south of Pine Bluff (to 2031) and Grant County Highway 270 passing lanes (to 2030).
