WARREN — The City of Warren and Warren Police Department are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction in the deaths of Billy Wayne Smith, 53, and Ty Calbert, 35, both of Warren, ASP said in a Sept. 15, 2026, release. WPD asked ASP CID to investigate both cases; investigators do not believe the cases are connected.
Smith was found with a gunshot wound about 12:45 a.m. Aug. 5, 2026, outside an apartment in the 900 block of Halligan Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. Calbert was found with an apparent gunshot wound about 3 a.m. Aug. 30, 2026, at a home in the 900 block of Abernathy Street and was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.
