MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello reported a 23% increase in overall headcount from fall 2024 to fall 2025, according to a university news release — growth that reaches well beyond the main campus into Crossett, McGehee and concurrent classrooms across Southeast Arkansas.
Undergraduate enrollment held steady with fall 2024 while concurrent (high school) enrollment jumped 136%. UAM’s Colleges of Technology in Crossett and McGehee also posted headcount gains. Campus-within-a-campus partnerships with National Park College and UA-East Arkansas Community College are widening affordable degree pathways.
“Our enrollment growth reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to higher education across Southeast Arkansas and beyond,” Chancellor Dr. Peggy Doss said in the release, pointing ahead to a pending forest-resources doctoral program and a Collegiate Academy pilot with Drew Central Public Schools.
For SEARK families, the takeaway is practical: more dual-credit seats, stronger tech campuses, and a clearer local pipeline into regional degrees.
