The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County for its second and final gathering of the month.
After lunch, Warren High School Junior Rotarians Alliana Ayala and Haven Johnson spoke about their achievements and plans. Rotarian Carlton Davis then introduced Kathy Carter, District 6170 Learning Facilitator — a past District Governor from Arkadelphia — whose role helps remind longtime Rotarians of the organization’s mission and educate newer members.
Carter traced Rotary from its 1905 founding by Paul Harris in Chicago through early conventions and the Rotary Foundation’s growth, and she framed why people join as “people or purpose.” The club’s next meeting is set for noon Tuesday, Oct. 13.
