Addison Helms of Hermitage School District won the Bradley County Spelling Bee and advanced to the Arkansas Spelling Bee, Saline River News reported after Hermitage and Warren schools co-hosted the county contest.
After multiple rounds, Helms took first place. Avery Ledbetter, also of Hermitage, finished second, and Nevaeh Frazier placed third. Organizers congratulated every participant for the preparation the bee demands.
Helms represented Bradley County at the March state competition against champions from across Arkansas. Local leaders framed the joint Warren–Hermitage hosting as another example of districts sharing academic showcase opportunities beyond the classroom.
