The 12th annual Breast Cancer Awareness events in memory of Billie Jean “BJ” Jackson continue with a panel discussion at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 S. Ohio St. in Pine Bluff.
The program is titled Unity Through Dialogue: Healing Through Awareness. Breast-cancer advocate Berinda Eugene will moderate. The companion 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Lake Saracen Pavilion, 200 Lake Saracen Drive, with free health screenings, vendors and a Kids Zone.
Walk/run registration is listed at $40 for ages 12 and up and includes a commemorative T-shirt. Details are at bjlegacy.org/registration.
