The Carnell Russ Foundation will host its 15th Community Unity Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Star City Civic Center in Star City, the Pine Bluff Commercial community calendar reported.
This year’s theme is “Unity on Blast: the Past, the Present and the Future.” Organizers said the festival will showcase cultural diversity, promote harmony in community relationships, and raise awareness of a little-known Arkansas historical event that took place in Star City 55 years ago.
Lincoln County’s county seat is a core SEARK neighbor to Jefferson and Drew counties. Details: carnellrustfoundation.com or 501-541-3732.
