The City of Pine Bluff and Southeast Arkansas College will launch Pine Bluff Glow Up on Saturday, Oct. 3, with a citywide cleanup from 8:30 to 11 a.m., according to KATV reporting on a city release.
The initiative, developed by SEARK faculty member Dr. Steven R. Monk and advanced with Mayor Vivian Flowers, the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Clean and Beautiful Commission, and community partners, includes a friendly Ward Wars competition among Pine Bluff’s four wards.
Glow Up continues the city’s Clean Up Pine Bluff campaign and aligns with work on abandoned properties and code enforcement. Separately, the Mayor’s Office has partnered with local towing companies for free removal of inoperable or abandoned vehicles from Sept. 9 through Oct. 9. Residents can request assistance at 870-329-1681 or the Mayor’s Office at 870-730-2000, extension 7.
People planning to join the Oct. 3 cleanup should confirm registration details with the city before turning out.
