NORTH LITTLE ROCK / SE ARKANSAS — The Arkansas Division of Emergency Management activated the State Emergency Operations Center to Level 1 (full activation) Sept. 15, 2026, for a wildfire impacting Calhoun County, ADEM said.
Full activation coordinates state, local and federal partners on fire behavior, community threats and firefighting resources. Calhoun County sits on the western edge of the SEARK news footprint; smoke and mutual-aid patterns often reach Union and Bradley counties.
