LAKE VILLAGE — Arkansas State Parks hosted an open house Aug. 10, 2026, celebrating completed improvements at Lake Chicot State Park, including 42 renovated RV sites, five new walk-in sites, a new bathhouse, paved campground roads, the paved Delta Woodlands Trail, a renovated dump station and broader accessibility upgrades.
Additional work refreshed the playground, boat-dock railing, fish-cleaning station, cabin exteriors, marina elements and HVAC in the original campground bathhouse. Parks, Heritage and Tourism Secretary Shea Lewis said the investment keeps Delta families camping, fishing and kayaking on Arkansas’ largest natural lake.
